The Academy Shopping Centre is located in the main shopping district of Aberdeen, Scotland. As the name suggests, it is a former secondary school renovated into a modern shopping centre.
The centre is small and specialises in quality, upmarket boutiques and high fashion outlets, as well as bars and restaurants.
In the central courtyard of the centre many events such as fashion shows, dance displays and live music have taken place. It is also used for Al Fresco dining. Since mid 2010, Enigma bar has installed a 12ft projection screen in the courtyard as part of the beer garden.

Nando's will be opening their second Aberdeen restaurant in the old Pier unit in the centre with a frontage on Belmont Street. They have also lodged plans to extend through the back into the shopping centre walkway so that they have direct access for seating, to the courtyard. Nando's will utilise both the ground and first floors of the unit for dining.
Konnichi bar and restaurant have now opened serving Sushi, Korean and Thai crusine.
Imported Instruments will be opening in the centre on 29 October 2011. The store will help fill the gap that was left when Bruce Millers closed down.
